Cookie Policy

The small number of cookies the Service sets, and what each one is for.

This is a draft pending legal review. It states our current practice and is binding as our stated policy, and it will be replaced by a reviewed version under a new version identifier.

1. The short version

This Service sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party tracking cookies. Every cookie it sets is necessary for the Service to work, which is why no consent banner is shown.

2. What is set

Session cookies: One per portal — school staff, platform administrator and parent each have their own. They identify a signed-in session, are marked HttpOnly and Secure, and are removed at sign-out or expiry. Without them the Service cannot tell one signed-in user from another.
Local storage: theme preference: Remembers whether the public site was last viewed in light or dark mode. It is not a cookie, is never sent to the server, and identifies nobody.

3. What is not set

No advertising or re-targeting cookies.
No third-party analytics.
No social media embeds or share pixels.
No cross-site tracking of any kind.

4. Managing cookies

A browser can be set to refuse cookies. Because the only cookies here are session cookies, refusing them means sign-in will not work — there is nothing to switch off that leaves the Service usable.

5. Payment pages

When a School pays for its subscription, the payment is taken in a checkout provided by Razorpay, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. That happens only on the payment step, and only for a School administrator paying a subscription.
